Apple Grabs Record 8.8% of Worldwide Mobile Phone Market; But Slips to Second Place in The Worldwide Smartphone Market in Q1 2012 Posted: 01 May 2012 02:26 AM PDT Research firm International Data Corporation (IDC) reports that vendors shipped 398.4 million units in 1Q12 compared to 404.3 million units in the first quarter of 2011. Apple Launches iTunes Match in Italy, Austria and Greece Posted: 30 Apr 2012 10:20 PM PDT MacRumors reports that iTunes Match has gone live in Italy, Austria and Greece. iTunes Match initially launched in the U.S. back in November of last year, in Canada, Europe, Australia and the United Kingdom in December of last year and in 19 additional countries in January of this year.
