Apple’s relationship with Foxconn in danger as Pegatron is said to be making the cheap iPhone Posted: 30 May 2013 05:00 AM PDT Apple sure designs a lot of beautiful hardware and software, but when it comes time to do the dirty work of putting things together, they call on Foxconn to do their bidding. That’s slowly starting to change though. According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple started working with a new firm called Pegatron back in 2011 on small scale iPhone and iPad mini production. Now it looks like Pegatron may become the “primary assembler of a low-cost iPhone” slated to launch later this year. Continue reading →

Apple launches new 16GB iPod touch with Retina Display, A5 chip, FaceTime HD for $229, lacks rear camera Posted: 30 May 2013 02:01 AM PDT Apple has just launched the 16GB model of the 5th generation iPod touch.
