A new iPhone app called Vhoto allows users to run through their videos and find precious moments to convert them into a still photo. This can include you doing flips, jumps or practically anything which cannot be captured with a conventional still image. Apple and other tech companies have been demanding more transparency from the U.S. government about such data requests in the wake of the NSA controversy. The Washington Post reports that companies like Apple are planning to defy authorities by notifying users of secret data requests from law enforcement agencies as they believe a user has the right to know in advance when their information is being targeted. Twitter apparently is preparing to update its iOS app with a new mute feature that allows users to block tweets and retweets from select people they follow.
