Earlier in June, Apple unveiled a treasure trove of new features for not only iOS 8, but also for their Mac lineup, all bundled together in Mac OS X Yosemite. Depending on the person, though, some of the individual features may be worth most of the fuss, including things like Continuity, or Handoff. With the latter, users of iOS 8-based devices will be able to start an email on their mobile gadget, and then continue right from where they left off on their Mac. While Amazon was busy announcing their first smartphone, with a bunch of 3D-trickery for good measure, Twitter was quietly announcing something a bit different. In the world of Twitter and image sharing, people have had to resort to using different services to upload animated GIFs to the social network, instead of being able to upload them directly to the service from first-party apps (or even the website).
